Lucinda is the CEO of FromCounsel. She is a corporate lawyer with significant knowledge management experience and passionate about helping lawyers find the information they need efficiently to deliver superior client service. Before joining From Counsel she held senior leadership roles with Practical Law in the UK and the US and was most recently Managing Director of the Thomson Reuters legal business in Europe.
George has been involved with several technology startups and before joining FromCounsel was the Project Operations Manager for the launch of a new mobile advertising tracking application for Somo Global. Prior to that, George was the Director of Operations for CPDcast, a legal training startup he ran on a day-to-day basis from inception through to acquisition and integration into Informa plc.
Before joining, Rob spent 4 years working as a senior engineer at an investment management start-up in London, building a cutting edge trading platform and marketplace for money managers. Prior to that, Rob spent 6 years working as a technical consultant at Accenture, working on a range of technology-driven, client-facing projects based across Europe. Rob holds a BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham.
Nicola started her career at Slaughter and May and has more than 20 years' City experience, including as a corporate partner at Gibson Dunn and at Squire Sanders, where she was also the know-how partner at both firms. Before joining FromCounsel, she headed up the corporate team at LexisPSL. Nicola has extensive experience of international and domestic corporate transactions, focusing on public and private M&A, equity capital markets, complex joint venture and shareholder arrangements, private equity, restructurings and, more generally, on corporate advisory and regulatory matters.
Chief Partnerships and Business Development Officer
Before joining FromCounsel, Vicki was at S J Berwin LLP and then Clyde & Co LLP, latterly as a Legal Director in the corporate team. During her time in practice, Vicki advised on a large number of private M&A and joint venture transactions, helped develop Clyde & Co’s corporate training programme and contributed to various business development initiatives. Vicki joined FromCounsel in 2015 to set up and run the current awareness service and in 2018, became Head of Commercial, utilising both her years in practice and her in-depth knowledge of the FromCounsel service to help ensure that it continues to be a high quality resource meeting the knowledge needs of subscribers. In early 2025, Vicki became Chief Partnerships and Business Development Officer.
Claire has held a variety of Senior Strategic Account Management, Sales, Business Development and Partnership roles, working in both publicly quoted, private and start-up organisations. Prior to joining FromCounsel Claire worked for LexisNexis for many years and has experience in other legal supplier roles developing, mentoring, and growing client facing teams and organisations' commercial efforts across multi-million pound portfolios and varied product solutions. Claire’s broad legal sector experience helps to ensure a customer centric and positive client experience.
Before joining FromCounsel, Jeremy was an associate in the corporate team at Watson Farley & Williams, where he advised on private company M&A, joint ventures and corporate reorganisations.
Before joining FromCounsel, Anne-Marie was a corporate PSL for a number of years, and before that at Charles Russell and Norton Rose. Anne-Marie trained and qualified into the corporate department at Norton Rose where she advised on share and business acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures, corporate re-organisations and provided corporate governance and other advice to listed companies.
Before joining FromCounsel, Sharon spent 9 years at Herbert Smith Freehills as a corporate PSL and, latterly as a Professional Support Consultant. Sharon specialises in public company M&A and has a broad knowledge of corporate law and listed company regulation. Prior to becoming a PSL, Sharon was an associate in Herbert Smith's Corporate Division, advising on a range of corporate and commercial matters for public and private companies.
Valerie trained at Nabarro Nathanson, where she was also a corporate associate focusing on private equity and public company M&A transactions. She spent several years as a PSL at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Macfarlanes. Valerie has also worked as an in-house lawyer, most recently for a digital venture builder.
Huw has spent most of his career working in various roles across the Ministry of Justice, and the past 6 years at the Royal Courts of Justice working in the role of Companies Court Caseworker. In his role he advised the judiciary, court staff and court users in areas of law dealt with by Companies Court including Companies Winding up, Schemes of Arrangement, Reductions of Capital and Cross-Border Mergers. Huw is currently assisting FromCounsel in the creation of Precedents in relation to the areas of Company Law he previously worked in.
Sara trained at Norton Rose, where she was an associate in the corporate finance team, before spending four years as a corporate PSL at Simpson Thacher and Bartlett LLP. She has advised on a range of corporate transactions with a focus on public and private M&A, equity capital markets and corporate governance matters.
Helen is an Editorial Consultant. She works alongside the FromCounsel Knowledge Lawyers, providing editing services in relation to new and updated content.
Prior to joining FromCounsel, Helen was a solicitor at Clyde & Co before teaching on the LPC and GDL courses at Kaplan Law School in London.
Before joining FromCounsel, Nicola was a partner at EMW Law LLP and was responsible for knowledge development. Prior to that she spent 10 years at Penningtons Manches LLP as the corporate team's PSL. Before becoming a PSL, Nicola was a corporate lawyer at SJ Berwin, London.
Before joining FromCounsel, Dan spent 7 years as the PSL for Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP's corporate department in London. Prior to becoming a PSL, Dan was trained at Trowers&Hamlins and qualified into the corporate team, where he was an associate in the London office for 8 years. He advised principally on private company M&A transactions, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and commercial agreements.
Angela joined FromCounsel from Deloitte Legal UK where she was a director and corporate knowledge lead. Prior to that, she spent more than ten years as a corporate knowledge lawyer at CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang (and formerly Olswang).
Before becoming a knowledge lawyer, Angela was an experienced corporate associate, working primarily at Olswang and Andersen Legal Garretts. Her background lies mainly in private company transactions and managing complex, multinational reorganisation projects, with additional experience in public company work and corporate governance.
Helen is an Editorial Consultant. She reviews and edits Q&A content.
Helen qualified in 2006 into the litigation team of a top London insurance firm, specialising in the defence of professional indemnity negligence claims against a broad range of professionals. She also advised insurer clients on policy coverage disputes and spent time seconded to a Lloyd’s insurer. Helen worked with FromCounsel for a period of time to assist with the preparation of the Corporate Q&A content pre-launch before joining the disputes and litigation department of a high street firm. In 2022 she returned to FromCounsel as an Editorial Consultant.
Helen is a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading. She collaborates knowledge and skills acquired from both private practice and CIEP training to ensure that the Q&A content meets the high standards of the FromCounsel brand.
Naveed is responsible for providing editorial assistance to the FromCounsel Markets team. Naveed graduated with a degree in Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London before later going on to complete the Legal Practice Course at BPP University Law School in Holborn. Before joining FC, Naveed worked in private practice as a paralegal fee earner and as a legal editor in a publishing company.
Before joining FromCounsel, Lorraine spent 11 years as a corporate PSL for Clyde & Co. Prior to becoming a PSL, Lorraine trained at Norton Rose, qualifying into the corporate finance department. Lorraine subsequently spent five years as a corporate associate at Manches advising on share and business acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and corporate re-organisations.
Before joining FromCounsel, Mark was a Director at Memery Crystal and prior to that worked at a number of other City law firms. Mark has experience across most aspects of corporate law including M&A, shareholder arrangements and company financings, as well as equity capital markets and listing transactions. Mark began his career in New Zealand.
Prior to joining FromCounsel, Sian began her career at Ashurst before moving to Greenberg Traurig. She has over 15 years' experience as a corporate lawyer specialising in restructuring, business reorganisation and insolvency. Her expertise includes advising corporate debtors, directors, insolvency practitioners and financial creditors on complex UK and cross-border restructurings and insolvencies. Whilst in practice, she advised clients across a wide range of industries and in both contentious and non-contentious situations. Sian initially joined FromCounsel as an insolvency specialist before moving to head up the News team in 2018.
Before joining FromCounsel, Nicky spent 16 years as a corporate PSL at Stevens & Bolton. Prior to becoming a PSL, Nicky worked as an associate in the Corporate departments of Stevens & Bolton and former City firm, Sinclair, Roche & Temperley, where she also trained. She advised on a range of transactions and matters including share and business acquisitions, shareholders’ and joint venture agreements, venture capital transactions, group reorganisations and corporate advice for public and private companies.
Liesel is a Consultant Knowledge Lawyer within the Employment Team, having headed the Sheffield Employment team at Irwin Mitchell before becoming Director of Employment at a niche local firm.
Rebecca joined the R&I team at FromCounsel after 14 years at Practical Law/PLC (Thomson Reuters) where she was a senior editor and latterly director of the UK, US and Canadian R&I/ Bankruptcy teams.
Rebecca qualified as a solicitor in 2002 into the R&I team at Theodore Goddard before moving to A&O, where she spent five years working on a range of national and cross-border restructuring deals in A&O’s global restructuring team, before moving to the securitisation team to gain additional experience in international structured finance deals. In 2008 Rebecca took a short career break to qualify as an attorney in the US (Illinois), before moving back to the UK in 2010 to help develop the Practical Law R&I product.
Before joining FromCounsel, Claire performed PSL roles at, among others, Latham & Watkins and DLA Piper. She developed the core R&I precedents at Osborne Clarke and worked at Lexis PSL when the new Insolvency rules came into force. She trained and qualified at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Before joining FromCounsel, Dylan worked in the Global Restructuring Group at Allen & Overy. He advised on a variety of restructurings, including through schemes of arrangement, administrations and liquidations. He also advised on the restructuring of a number of foreign companies in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Dylan has also worked for Allens, and King & Wood Mallesons, in Australia.
Before joining FromCounsel, Phil had been a partner at Boyes Turner LLP in Reading since 2000, and was head of their insolvency team from 2007. He advised primarily on administrations, fixed charge receiverships, liquidations, and the sale & purchase of distressed businesses, as well as handling a wide range of insolvency-based litigation.
Before joining FromCounsel, Virginia spent seven years working in Clyde & Co's corporate department, where she advised private companies on share and business acquisitions and disposals and corporate reorganisations. Prior to that she was a member of Anderson Legal's corporate department for two years, having trained at Cole & Cole (now Morgan Bruce).
Ruth joined from Eversheds Sutherland, where she was Senior Associate Employment PSL with a focus on the Financial Services sector for high-profile clients. She trained and qualified at Blake Morgan LLP, acting for a wide range of organisations. She was its first Employment PSL from 2004: producing legal updates for clients, lawyers and the press; precedents and training; and being solely responsible for content and templates on the firm's Employment law subscription website. She is particularly interested in the effect of data protection law on employment, and trained lawyers/drafted employment precedents with the introduction of the GDPR and Data Protection Act in 2018.
Will is a Knowledge Lawyer in the Employment Team. Will has many years' experience as an Employment Solicitor. Before joining FC, Will worked as a Senior Associate at a national law firm, advising a broad range of businesses and senior executives on the full range of employment law issues.
Hannah joined FromCounsel from iGlobal Law, a subsidiary of Wedlake Bell, where she spent three years as an employment solicitor. While at iGlobal Law Hannah advised on a broad range of employment matters and managed various international projects. Prior to working at iGlobal Law, Hannah worked as a paralegal in the employment team at DAC Beachcroft supporting on litigation matters. Prior to this, Hannah worked at Baker McKenzie as a knowledge management content specialist in the global employment team. Hannah also has a background in human rights having previously worked at the Bianca Jagger Human Rights Foundation during her studies.
Before joining FromCounsel Sarah Rushton was Partner, Head of Employment and Head of the London Office for Buckles LLP. She has over 25 years of experience in employment law both in house and in private practice most notably as Senior Employment Counsel for Garban Intercapital, Head of Employment for Forsters LLP and Partner at Payne Hicks Beach.
Chris trained at DLA Piper and spent his first two years as a commercial litigator, specialising in complex high-value litigation and regulatory matters. He requalified as an employment solicitor and over the last 8 years he has enjoyed acquiring extensive employment law experience advising businesses ranging from global multinationals and household names to start-ups on a wide range of employment law matters. Chris also has extensive experience advising senior executives on their personal employment law matters.
Eleanor trained and qualified at HFW, specialising in shipping litigation/arbitration and personal injury. She spent 9 years there, working with ship owners, insurers and charterers on a range of disputes on matters including charterparties and bills of lading, shipbuilding, joint ventures and cross-border personal injury. Eleanor took a break from legal practice to run her own editorial and consultancy business, focusing on legal editing and drafting, as well as working as a consultant PSL. She then worked in a high street firm specialising in civil litigation, before joining FromCounsel in 2022.
Sam trained and qualified in the Disputes & Investigations team at Taylor Wessing where she advised on a wide range of disputes and investigations, including general commercial and technology disputes, civil fraud and regulatory investigations.
Sam has particular expertise in class actions and group litigation and is also experienced in project managing complex multi-party group litigation and claims relating to privacy and data protection disputes. Sam joined FromCounsel in October 2025.
Emma trained and qualified as a litigator at Macfarlanes and worked there for a number of years on commercial and IP disputes - primarily in the sport and aviation sectors. She then moved in-house to Rolls-Royce as a commercial litigator, providing disputes and training support across the business.
In 2020, Emma joined Stobbs, gaining further experience as an IP litigator (in both the High Court and the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court), as well as providing the litigation team's knowledge and training support. Subsequently, Emma moved with her team to Addleshaw Goddard, acting on a high-profile IP dispute in the High Court. Emma joined FromCounsel in autumn 2025.
Helen was called to the bar in 2004. Prior to joining FromCounsel, she spent 12 years practising mainly in commercial and property law, developing practical litigation expertise in a wide range of courts and across various legal areas, including commercial landlord and tenant, contract, real estate, debt recovery and insolvency. Helen left practice to work at FromCounsel’s sister company, Sparqa Legal in 2016, first as a Managing Editor and latterly Head of Content before moving to FromCounsel.
Before joining FromCounsel, Annelise was a senior editor at Practical Law for a number of years. Annelise trained at Allen & Overy, qualifying into the Global Loans team where she advised on a range of domestic and international finance transactions. After 9 years as an associate at A&O she became a PSL in Global Loans, focussing primarily on documentation (including automated drafting) and training.
Paul has extensive corporate and commercial law experience, with a heavy focus on data protection, foreign direct investment, and competition law. He is an English and Irish solicitor and a member of the New York and Brussels Bars. Paul trained at Slaughter and May, joining the corporate department on qualifying. He has subsequently worked as a partner and as of counsel for a number of major UK and US law firms. Paul holds law degrees from the Universities of Oxford and Essex and a PhD (relating to merger control efficiencies) from the University of Cambridge.
Before joining FromCounsel’s Training Team, Estelle worked in Marketing in the real estate industry. She holds an MA in Creative Writing from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Sam’s career spans corporate, higher education, and digital learning environments where she has worked with clients across South Africa, the USA, UAE, England, and her home base of Scotland. She specialises in crafting impactful, learner-centred experiences that enhance engagement, boost knowledge retention, and improve performance outcomes. Holding an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Johannesburg, she is passionate about aligning learning with business objectives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and continuously enhancing the learner experience.
Before joining FromCounsel, I worked at Penningtons Manches Cooper in their Legal Transactions Team for Real Estate, helping draft their contracts and leases. I enjoy and value creativity and have a degree in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University.

Plum is responsible for providing editorial assistance to the FromCounsel PSL Team. Plum graduated from her LLB at the University of Brighton with a First Class Honours.

At S&B Claire managed and developed know-how, precedents and the corporate training programme, with a particular focus on promoting efficiencies through legal technologies and process management. Prior to S&B Claire was a corporate associate at Clyde & Co where she gained a wide variety of experience in private M&A and other corporate advisory work (both UK and international) and spent 9 months on secondment to the UK Anti-Money Laundering team of a major US bank.
Caroline joined FromCounsel from PwC where she spent two and half years as a corporate knowledge lawyer in the international business reorganisations legal team. Caroline also spent over six years before that as a senior editor at Practical Law Corporate (Thomson Reuters). Caroline has experience across a range of corporate transactions in practice, having trained at Nabarro and qualified into the public equity team, subsequently working at Forsters and later at PwC Legal advising on private M&A and corporate reorganisations. She has also taught corporate law modules on the LPC and EU law on the GDL.

Louise is a Senior Editor in the Content Team at FromCounsel. She has been a legal editor for 25 years both in-house and freelance and has experience editing journals, magazines and academic books. She is a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading.
Rhiannon provides editorial assistance to the FromCounsel PSL Team. Before joining FromCounsel, she graduated from the BCL at Oxford University with Merit and completed the BTC with High Distinction.

Before joining, Scott worked as a teacher of maths for 7 years before seeing the light and moving into software engineering.
After spending 5 years at Hermes as a backend engineer he then joined Basement crowd. Scott graduated from the University of York with a BSc in Mathematics.
Jordan has been working as an allegedly professional developer for the last 6 years, though that was really just a natural progression from a childhood that largely revolved around playing computer games. Jordan is pretty confident this bio won't be read so he feels safe buffing the character count with this sentence that can be ignored. The main difference is that he now gets paid to spend all day at a computer.
Dan started his career as a sound and camera operator, working behind the scenes before deciding to swap film reels for front-end frameworks. After some time at Wise as a Frontend Engineer, he expanded into full-stack development at BBC Studios. Dan then joined Basement Crowd, specialising in Frontend Engineering.

Before joining FromCounsel, Harry was a senior legal editor at Sparqa Legal for over 4 years, having previously practised as a corporate solicitor for 6 years at Farrer & Co. Harry has broad experience advising on a range of transactional and advisory corporate matters, focusing in particular on private M&A, investments and joint ventures.
Carol has spent the majority of her career as a Financial Controller for a construction and engineering company. She uses her knowledge to provide support to the FromCounsel team.
Kimseima is responsible for providing compliance and project management at FromCounsel. Kimseima ascertained the LLB at the University of Bristol. Prior to joining the organisation, Kimseima pursued the LPC at the University of Law.
Jeremy has been a Financial Controller in many industries from fashion photography to design studios to wine merchants. For the last six years Jeremy has worked for an esports firm which was bought by the Saudi Public Investment fund and merged with a German group to create the largest esports group in the world.
Michelle is a highly experienced finance professional with 30 years of progressive leadership across diverse industries, including legal, construction, consulting, recruitment, and travel. Early career foundations were built in the travel sector, advancing from Junior Accounts roles to Finance Manager. Known for delivering strong financial controls, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration, with a consistent track record of supporting business growth and financial stability.
Cath has over 15 years' experience as a senior manager for a major retailer. Prior to joining FromCounsel, she was a Director for an SME where she put into practice her expertise of HR and Operational Practices.
Alex is a Project Manager at FromCounsel. Working closely with teams across content, technology, commercial and operations, Alex leads the delivery of key strategic projects that enhance the company’s products and deliver an exceptional user experience. Alex has extensive experience managing complex projects within the higher education and professional services sectors, including organisational change, digital transformation, and research projects. Alex joined FromCounsel from Cranfield University where he managed a project boosting commercialisation of the University's Intellectual Property.

She also has international advertising sales experience at publishing companies including Bloomberg, TIME and Legalease.
Joe is Marketing Executive at FromCounsel. He assists with the day-to-day management of marketing strategy and the running of company events. Joe joined FromCounsel having previously worked at Exchange Chambers where he assisted with the running of their events and marketing.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Brett has lived in London since 2013 and has over 12 years of experience in various roles within the UK/EMEA legal services industry (9 years of this was at LexisNexis UK).

Dan is our Senior Client Relationship Manager. He is responsible for growing FromCounsel and managing a number of our largest customer accounts. Prior to FromCounsel, Dan helped to launch our sister company, Sparqa Legal, and previously founded a SaaS startup. Dan has also worked as a strategy consultant at both Oliver Wyman and Accenture.
Jacqui is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experience, with a background in customer success, onboarding, operations, and publishing. Before joining FromCounsel she was most recently Head of Customer Success and Onboarding at LexisNexis and prior to that held commercial commissioning and content portfolio roles at both LexisNexis and Thomson Reuters.
Jacqui's principal focus is on delivery of strategic and operational initiatives to ensure our clients achieve maximum value and long-term success with our solutions, so that they feel supported, heard, and confident every step of the way.
Anna joined the FromCounsel commercial team in 2015. Prior to that, she was a Barrister (2009 call) at a leading London chambers and an international law firm. She has significant experience in legal knowledge businesses, including as a founding member of Sparqa Legal; and in Head of Content and Publisher roles for Informa Law, engaging in the strategic and commercial management of a multi-million-pound portfolio of legal publications and training products. Anna utilises her in-depth knowledge of the market and broad commercial expertise to ensure customer-centricity remains at the heart of our business.
Matt joined FromCounsel from LexisNexis, where he held a series of senior account management roles spanning Large Law, the Public Sector, In-House teams, and most recently, The Bar.
His work regularly involved partnering with C-suite leaders and Heads of Chambers, delivering strategic solutions and building trusted relationships at the highest levels. Prior to that, he headed upThe In-House Lawyermagazine at Legalease. Matt brings a wealth of expertise in account management and business development, underpinned by a nuanced understanding of the legal sector.
Lucinda is the CEO of FromCounsel. She is a corporate lawyer with significant knowledge management experience and passionate about helping lawyers find the information they need efficiently to deliver superior client service. Before joining From Counsel she held senior leadership roles with Practical Law in the UK and the US and was most recently Managing Director of the Thomson Reuters legal business in Europe.
George has been involved with several technology startups and before joining FromCounsel was the Project Operations Manager for the launch of a new mobile advertising tracking application for Somo Global. Prior to that, George was the Director of Operations for CPDcast, a legal training startup he ran on a day-to-day basis from inception through to acquisition and integration into Informa plc.
